We are pet friendly, for dogs that is. Dogs are welcome, Below is our Pet Policy. If you bring your dog you will be asked to sign it at check in. Please review it ahead of time. Thank you!
We have one house dog named Buddy. Buddy is our three year old Vizsla. He is very obedient and will "bow" to our guests upon request! He is well behaved and will stay at the main level of the Lodge. He loves attention, but if you feel at anytime that he is a bother, we will be happy to keep him in the Inn Keepers' private area of the Deer Haven Lodge & Inn.

Deer Haven Lodge Dog Agreement
Our dog agreement is meant to ensure the comfort of all guests and to protect people, pets and property. Please review the following policies and be prepared to indicate your acceptance of signing a copy when you check-in. The Deer Haven Lodge & Inn only accepts well behaved dogs.
1. Advance reservations are required for all dogs. The cost is $10 per dog per night.
2. Guest dogs should be socialized with humans and other animals. Destructive,
aggressive, or uncontrollably noisy pets will not be tolerated at the Lodge.
3. All vaccine shots for your pet must be current and up to date.
4. Your pet should be on a flea prevention program.
5. Pets cannot be dropped off early (before check-in) or left after check-out.
6. Pets should be leashed at all times when not in your room.
7. Pets are not allowed in the common areas.
8. If left alone in a guest room, your pet should be in a kennel and quiet.
9. You will be liable if your pet damages property at the Deer Haven Lodge.
10. Dog owners should pick up after your pets. Let us know if you need plastic
bags. We will be happy to supply you with one or more as needed.
11. Please keep dogs out of the gardens and try to discourage them from urinating
on the plants in the yard.
12. Bring your own pet's food.
13. If you prefer your dog kept outside, we have an outside kennel with an attached dog house for your use.
14. If you have planned an outing and do not want to take your pet along, there is
a boarding facility across the road with heated kennels.
